A people and planet first creative studio led by Cait Pearl
Hi I’m Cait, a second-gen Chinese Australian designer from Western Sydney, with a calling to bridge creativity and social responsibility. Nacara Studio was founded to support purpose-led brands that strive for positive impact.
our name
Nacre; noun
Nacara is one latin origin of the word Nacre, also known as mother of pearl. Nacre is a strong, resilient, and iridescent material that pearls are composed of. We are inspired by the qualities of nacre, crafting brands that are brilliant and adaptive in the face of change. Pearl also happens to be my middle name - which made Nacara feel like the perfect fit for the studio’s name.
Design for what matters
Nacara is a purpose-led studio on a journey to empower businesses and organisations that dream of creating a better tomorrow – no matter how big or small that impact may be. We collaborate with changemakers that aren’t afraid to break creative boundaries
We help brands that care about…

Anchored in impact
We exist to help reduce our planet’s carbon footprint through sustainable web design. We team up with brands who need their websites to visually reflect their impact – without the unnecessary carbon emissions. By following low-carbon and accessible web design practices, opting for green-hosting solutions, and planting one tree for every website we design, we help businesses and organisations strengthen their impact, while minimising their environmental footprint.
Our site (yes, this one!) produces 80% less CO2 than the average. Think of us as the bamboo straw of the web design world. Large, clunky websites don’t help your SEO either – so think of it as a win-win for you and the planet.
